Develop grants and provide financial resources for installation of infrastructure necessary to support telecommuting.
In order to provide high-speed internet service to rural customers, the Grant County PUD has gradually built an open access wholesale fiber network, which will eventually provide cover the whole county. It now has 1,527 miles of fiber optic cable. Thirteen Retail Internet Service Providers provide competitive service and pricing to 20,800 customers, about 74% of the county, at speeds ranging from 100MB to 1 GB.
