T3._Bidirectional charging to reduce fleet costs
Companies like Nuvee and Fermata Energy are now marketing integrated packages using storage, bidirectional charging, and management software to reduce fleet and facility demand charges, and monetize the provision of grid services. Weave Grid is working with utilities and bidirectional charging for individual drivers.
The new Ford electric F150 Lightning pickup truck comes with bidirectional charging; the Nissan LEAF has provided it in Japan for a number of years; and Hyundai, VW and Tesla have announced it for future models.
