Lahti, Finland has developed a smartphone app that tracks and reports the emissions transportation modes someone is using. It provides an easy way to see the results of changing your transportation habits, and rewards people for lower emissions with tokens that can be used for bus fares, swimming pool fees and other city services. (It will be available to other cities free after a year of testing.)
