Neighborhood Electric Car Sharing

T3._Neighborhood electric car sharing

Envoy allows neighbors in housing developments to share an electric vehicle. In Seattle, users can rent by the minute, hour, or day. The cost ranges from 15-to-45 cents per minute or $9-$27 per hour. The lowest daily rate, to rent a Nissan Leaf, is $45 and the highest is $150, the cost of renting a Tesla Model X for a day.

The Twin Cities Electric Vehicle Mobility Network is a municipally owned and controlled car sharing project, operated by a non-profit partner, Hour Car. It offers hourly rentals, one way trips, will help support the cities’ public charging investments, and is intended to help residents of transit-scarce neighborhoods do without private cars.
