G4.3 Other emission sources
Expand sources and sectors in future emissions inventories to inform future regulatory policy to reduce GHG emissions.
The current county emissions inventory includes preliminary estimates (p. 40 seq.) for some additional items that are not in the basic ICLEI protocol – hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants and fire suppressants (81,000 – 98,000 tonnes); residential and business air travel (133,000 tonnes); the Olympia airport (2,750 tonnes); ships and boats (3,750 tonnes); rail transportation (6,750 tonnes); and the upstream emissions from producing gasoline and diesel fuel (283,000 tonnes).
We might also include emissions from off- road vehicles, and out-of-county consumption-based emissions, including those from food, purchased goods, and supply chains.
