Local governments require departments, agencies, consultants and contractors to use recycled products whenever possible and not cost prohibitive.
Develop and maintain information about environmentally preferable and recycled products for use whenever possible.

- Clark County Environmentally Responsible Purchasing Policy and purchasing list
- King County Environmental Purchasing Program – Includes copy paper reduction and electronics recycling
- Seattle Green Purchasing Program
- U.S. Communities – Go Green Program? – MSRC lists this as a “One-stop source for public agency access to green purchasing products, services, and resources,” but the organization has merged with Omnia, and I can’t find the program on their website.
