These mortgages are widely available for single family homes; the Department of Energy has an overview of them. Olympia Fed’s Green Choice Lending Program offers mortgages and home equity loans like this, with a 0.5% discount for homes with a Home Energy Rating Score of 55 or lower.
The 2016 Better Buildings Summit included a session on the difficulties of getting this kind of mortgage for commercial properties, featuring the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab’s work on the issues.
