W2.10 Water reuse
Develop a water reuse program for water conservation on site. Provide technical assistance and incentives, such as free rain barrels, to gather water and use on site (e.g., rain barrels for irrigation).
Orbital Systems’ shower, inspired by the ones used by astronauts, filters and recycles the water, saving up to 80% of the energy and 90% of the water used by a conventional shower. (These are being installed in locations like gyms and fire stations, where they’re used by lots of people.)
