Shared Chargers for Heavy Duty Vehicles

T3._ Shared chargers for heavy duty vehicles
Plan and locate chargers for heavy duty EVs so at least some of them can be shared by city vehicles, IT buses, and school district buses…. (Charge the school buses in the middle of the day when the other vehicles are in use, etc…)

Intercity Transit says:

Thank you for your suggestion to consider regional discussions with other fleet operators in our area to maximize the use of public funds and available resources to advance efforts in reducing emissions. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were in the early stages of these sorts of discussions with public agencies, suppliers, utilities and other stakeholders.  We are collaborating to understand technology updates, funding sources and sharing emission reduction plans across the region and the state.  As we begin to emerge, as a state, from this health emergency these discussions will resume and I am excited to be involved.
Intercity Transit plans to pursue a comprehensive alternative fuels study that will help us understand which technology is best suited for our agency and the service that we provide to the community, as well as, the outlook for various solutions within our region.  We plan to use the information from this study to continue refinement of our long term plans for operational, financial and environmental responsibility.
